Participants will have the tools they need to confront this complex, sensitive, and tough problem after completing this course. This drug and alcohol awareness course covers a wide range of subjects relating to drug and alcohol use, misuse, and addiction. This course was created to provide you with critical knowledge on how to recognise addiction in themselves and others, as well as strategies to aid recovery.


You will be given guidance, ideas, and tactics for understanding the causes of drug and alcohol abuse throughout the course, allowing you to tackle these situations with empathy and diplomacy. The seminar also discusses the need of establishing a drug and alcohol policy, as well as how to do so effectively. You'll also learn about drug and alcohol-related myths, fallacies, and legal truths. At the end of the course, you'll have all the tools you need to help a loved one overcome drug and alcohol addiction, as well as proof that you've completed each lesson.

Who is this course for?

Friends or family members who have loved ones suffering from drug and alcohol addiction, or if you believe you have a drug and alcohol addiction, will benefit from our 3-week course. Nurses, midwives, health care professionals, carers and support workers, public servants, and members of the general public interested in learning more about drug and alcohol abuse are also welcome to attend. This training does not require any prior experience or qualifications. It is open to anyone with any academic background.

 

Requirements

PCs, Macs, Laptops, Tablets, and Smartphones are all compatible with our course. People are utilising the internet on their phones and tablets more than ever before, thus our course has been built to be fully compatible with tablets and smartphones, allowing you to access your course over wifi, 3G, 4G, and 5G. 

This is a three-week course with three 90-minute sessions spread out over three weeks. After each week of the course, you must do revision exercises on your own time; they are included in the price.
